3D PluraView featured at Datamine Africa User Conference, 15-17 May 2024

akili3D was invited to provide the 3D PluraView to the Datamine Africa User Conference 2024. During the three-day conference in Johannesburg, Datamine Africa presented the 3D PluraView stereoscopic desktop monitor to an audience of over 100 mining industry experts.

We’re thrilled to share that the 3D PluraView system was prominently featured at the Datamine Africa User Conference 2024, showcasing a major advancement in stereoscopic 3D visualisation technology!

As an industry-first in South Africa, the outstanding stereoscopic visualisation of complex, underground 3D mine models on the 3D PluraView, showcased the comprehensive surveying and visualisation functionalities included in Datamine’s premier ‘Studio RM, Studio Survey and Discover’ software.

The conference visitors were excited about the true spatial depth and 3D dimensionality of the mining data visualised by the 3D PluraView. Compared to a ‘flat’, perspective 2.5D display of 3D geospatial data on standard desktop monitors, the interpretability of all geological surface and subsurface features is vastly improved. This ‘best practice’ stereoscopic display gives true credit to the expense and great effort involved in collecting, correlating, and interpreting subsurface mining datasets.

Thank you to everyone who visited and experienced the 3D PluraView at Datamine Africa User Conference.
